setting up a portable reaper from windows XP

First, take a look at the program files directory:

if you haven't started reaper yet, start it for the first time. This will create the ini files you need to move.

then, you want to change some settings if you haven't already:

then, navigate to this folder:

cut this entire folder and then go to wherever your reaper folder is contained and merge the folders:

if you then go into your programfiles/reaper folder (or wherever you originally installed reaper) it should look like this:

after this, that reaper folder will work all by itself, and you can move it anywhere and everything will be self-contained. I personally have moved it from xp on 3 different pcs, to vista x64, then to windows 7 x64.
