Hello :)
as being the only poster @ the Reaper forums who has over 10k posts, I feel at least part of this is directed at me, strangely.
Interestingly enough, I've never disparaged Sonar in any way that would be considered anything but my own opinion. I'm sure they all work very, very hard to do what they do.
Lambasting @ the reaper forums? Care to actually post where? Every forum has its trolls, and its bad apples. I think some may just be very dissatisfied with Sonar in some way (why do you think they are there? The dude who wrote the Reaper manual is a former sonar user, I believe). They may have a reason for saying what they do. But since you provide no such proof at the reaper forums, I have to dismiss your claim.
Maybe your skin is not quite thick enough? It seems you are getting quite emotional over these critiques. Every DAW has its strengths, right now, I am using Reaper, as it is much better, for me, than anything else. That's it. Yeah, it annoyed me when Sonar wouldn't work as well as any other DAW i tried, or When you had to restart the program to change the audio driver - but that's just my experience.
I do wish to see the scene of audio production progress. Better quality music, better performances, more dynamics, richer tone, whatever. I strive for this, even though I am hardly where I want to be. My forum posts are a poor inference as to my ability or passions.
Speaking of which, you use insults to get your point across. Interesting. I assure you, I use my DAW alot - and also play gigs, among many other things. Yes, I'm on the forum a lot, but I also try to help people if and when they have issues with reaper. I appreciate that people have done that for me and give back. There are several tens of people on the cakewalk forums with many posts - and only one loser on the cockos forum with over 10k.
I suggest you attempt to prove your points instead of trying to come up with insults. You don't look any better than the phantoms you are trying to vanquish.
