I was curious when inviting Ed to jam with Steve and I yesterday, considering Ed had been primarily a metal drummer. I had a feeling that he could pick up on some new grooves easily, considering his propensity toward the funky beatboxing he does. The attached file is the result of an hour's worth of jamming. The beginning is literally the first time we all jammed together at once. Keep in mind also that Ed was dealing with a set that he hasn't played in months, with a drumthrone that was falling apart, and certain cymbals not being entirely attached. Not to mention the whole kit was a bit dingy and in need of some TLC. Overall it was a good experience and hopefully we can also have something going more in the rock/jam sense. Of course, what we have going on with PB&J and our original stuff takes precedent, but it seems that if someone is looking to hear something a little more rock, and it will pay, maybe we can branch out in this way also.
